Once Anita Singh involved in a fight with two youngsters for harassing a girl in her hometown, Bhadaini. The boy’s parents complained Anita’s mother to which she replied that her daughter was right and if their sons repeat the mistake they will be beaten again. She wants every girl to know Judo and Karate and use when needed. Anita Singh is the first female from UP to receive black belt. She awarded in 2008. She has trained hundreds of girls in Judo, Karatte and various schools across Varanasi. Vartika’s activities remark that, for every woman who self-defence is very important to survive in a society. She needs to fight for herself, against many. She organises free workshop for girls.
