Archana Singh is a social activist and an inspiration to young girls and adolescents who want to break themselves free from stifling patriarchal restrictions. In her final year of MSW in 2009, she became a part of Breakthrough training programme. She decided to work towards gender equality and empowerment. She joined Breakthrough as a volunteer and then finally as a full-time employee in 2010. Today, Archana is the training head of adolescent empowerment project of Breakthrough in UP that aims to empower about 4 lakh adolescents. She is a trainer on gender, early marriage and rights issues.
